Nigel Farage chats about risks of entering I’m A Celebrity
Former Ukip and Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage is starting his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here adventure 2,000 miles away from the main camp.
Alongside This Morning presenter Josie Gibson and YouTuber Nella Rose, he has been dropped in the red desert in the scorching heat in the first twist of this year’s show which will once again be hosted by Ant and Dec.
In pictures released by ITV, the trio are seen standing in the barren landscape in their civilian clothes rather than their jungle attire.
They will be tasked with helping their campmates thousands of miles away by winning them time as they part in other challenges on the coast.
They will undertake various challenges in their isolated outback location to help their campmates in their bid to win stars and ultimately food. It is not yet known when they will join the main camp which is near the Gold Coast.

Nigel, 59, is the highest profile signing on the new series of the show in a line-up that also features Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn Spears, JLS singer Marvin Humes and First Dates maître D Fred Sirieix.
Also taking part this year are reality star Sam Thompson, food critic Grace Dent, EastEnders actress Danielle Harold and Hollyoaks legend Nick Pickard.
Prior to entering the jungle Nigel spoke out about being “demonised” in the past and says that he hopes people might hate him “a little bit less afterwards”.
“I was for many years the lone voice saying Europe wasn’t where we should be, so I have been a little bit demonised,” he exclaimed.
“I am hoping those who hate me might hate me a little bit less afterwards,” Nigel continued, acknowledging that it could be “a gamble”.

“The things I represent – mean-spirited, small-minded, nasty, the ‘little Englander’ – all those accusations that have been flung at me over the years just aren’t true. If we can dispel some of those misconceptions, then that will be a good thing too,” he said.
Nigel says that he’s anticipating a “frosty” reaction from some of his campmates, pointing out that when fellow politician Matt Hancock entered the jungle, his reputation was “on the floor”.
However, he said he was ready for potential animosity, explaining: “I survived for 20 years in the European Parliament with all sorts of people trying to trip me up so I am used to that!”
Multiple petitions have been created protesting his appearance on the show, with broadcaster Danny Baker stating: “Nigel Farage being put into the jungle by @ITV shows how insensitive, crass, tone deaf, idiot provocative, morally bankrupt a network they are.”
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV and ITVX on Sunday, November 19 at 9pm.
