Julian Clary asks Holly Willoughby if she ‘woke up in a skip’ after wild party

    Julian Clary asked Holly Willoughby if she "woke up in a skip" on This Morning after she and Phillip Schofield lifted the lid on their wild Christmas party.

    Joined by Nigel Havers, Julian appeared on screen to discuss the duo's new pantomime at the London Palladium.

    But before the pair got into the details about their Christmas show in London, Julian probed Holly about her drinking habits.

    Speaking via video link, Julian said: "Hello, we can tell you're trying to read the autocue in a sensible manner, but really they're on the lash aren't they?"

    Holly and Phil then burst out in laughter before Holly urged: "We're really not!"

    "But we can tell," Julian added, before Nigel said: "Throaty sort of 'I've been up drinking a lot' voice."

    "Did you wake up in a skip, Holly?" Julian then pressed.

    "Not today," she urged, before adding: "I mean, some days – yes – today I'm actually an angel."

    This came after the duo opened the show with Phil then saying: "Another festive-packed show for you today, and actually we're feeling alright."

    Holly then added: "Not all members of the team are feeling alright this morning, let me tell you."

    "I don't know whether we should name names," added Phil, before Holly chimed in and said: "Ellie," in a stern tone.

    "Who ended up on Alice Beer's utility room floor, with Emma, our deputy editor," Phil revealed.

    The duo then went on to speak of the This Morning Christmas lunch which was held at singer James Blunt's pub in London.

    It was also revealed that James gate-crashed the party, as did Chris Evans.

    This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
