Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha has wowed her followers with an emotional post about body acceptance, which also included a throwback snap from 20 years ago.

Taking to Instagram during the week, Nadia, 58, spoke about cellulite and how when she was younger she would "desperately try to cover" her body.

Sharing an Instagram reel onto her page, which has more than 520,000 followers, the 58-year-old TV personality could be seen 20 years ago, wearing a bikini and covering up her body with her hands while looking downcast.

Recent photos were then displayed that showed Nadia's cellulite and curves, but in the recent snaps she was beaming with joy and acceptance.

And in the accompanying caption, the brunette beauty spoke about how she is now choosing to accept her body.

"So much time wasted hating on myself," she admitted in the caption.

The Loose Woman went on: "The black and white photo was taken by @the_mcgiff twenty years ago .. look how unhappy I was .. horrified that a photo was being taken of me in a bikini, desperately trying to cover my body.

"Well you can see from the pics decades later that body acceptance, not confidence (who is truly confidene) not body positive (I don’t really know what that means) but body ACCEPTANCE is where to find the joy."

She went on to say: "Look how joyful I am! The world doesn’t stop turning if you can find a way to accept yourself."

Fans were quick to praise Nadia for her uplifting and inspiring post, with many commenting in the comments section.

"You're such a breath of fresh air," penned one, while another swooned: "You look gorgeous Nadia."

"Oh how fab are you. Wish I could be where you are with body acceptance," admitted a third.

While a fourth said: "Great role model to all the young girls."

And a fifth added: "Looking good Nadia. Perfect body."
