Love Island fans discover new ‘cursed’ item as two islanders suffer consequences

Eagle-eyed Love Island fans believe they've spotted the new cursed item in the villa.

Fans realised that after wearing a particular pink denim jacket, both Tom Clare and Will Young were embroiled in arguments that centred around them and their partner.

Tom wore the jacket early on in the series, shortly after getting involved in a love square with Olivia Hawkins, Zara Lackenby-Brown and bombshell Ellie Spence.

After his sneaky kiss on the terrace was revealed, Zara, who was coupled up with him, approached Tom and slated him saying his family "should be ashamed" and that he had a "community penis".

Tom, who was visibly annoyed, stormed off and ripped the jacket off in an attempt to calm down.

Later in the series, Will donned the same jacket and while the evening started off well, the TikTok farmer was left fuming after finding out the islanders had been calling his partner Jessie "fake".

Will slammed the "snakes" in the villa that didn't approach Jessie to "tell her to her face".

He later confronted Maxwell Samuda, who had been talking about Jessie and admitted he was "fuming" with him.

As the drama unfolded on both occasions, fans couldn't help but notice the common denominator in the situation – the pink jacket.

"Last year was the curse of the yellow bean bag. This year is the curse of the pink jacket," one fan tweeted.

"The pink jacket curse continues, at least Will didn't throw this one," a second put after watching Will rage about the fakeness in the villa.

A third wrote: "Lowkey the pink jacket is the yellow beanbag of this season," while a fourth put: "Pink jackets are this year’s version of the yellow beanbag."

In previous seasons, it was revealed that the islander that sat on the cursed yellow bean bag would soon be involved in drama, with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu being a prime example of the curse after she was infamously called a "liar" and "an actress" by her partner Davide Sanclimenti after lounging on the beanbag all day.
