Rise and Fall is expected to be the next tense reality show viewers are going to become obsessed with after the success of The Traitors. The Channel 4 series, hosted by Greg James, will see 16 contestants compete to win up to £100,000, in a game of Rulers and powerless Grafters. While the Rulers live in luxurious penthouses, the Grafters have to cope with basic conditions in a basement and it is up to those in power to make crucial decisions. Cheryl
Trainee nurse Cheryl, 40, from London was previously a support worker working with adults and children.
James
James works as an employment coach but the 26-year-old also has a passion for fitness, running exercises classes in his spare time.
Prince
Postal worker Prince, from Hertfordshire, was born and raised in Sierra Leone and says his childhood was challenging but set him up for success.
Rachel
Rachel, who has a twin sister, is a 27-year-old influencer who specialises in fashion and beauty content.
Jack
Builder Jack, 28, is also a semi-professional footballer who would love to take his mum on holiday if he won the prize money.
Joanna
Joanna grew up in Suffolk but spent time at her grandparents’ stately home and when the pandemic affected her work as an interior design work, she went to Greece.
Ali
Entrepreneur Ali, 45, owns a number of successful businesses and is known in Essex for his restaurants which have become celebrity hot spots.
Sydney
Sydney, 24, from Scotland, is a delivery driver and single mum who is studying for a law degree.
Connor
Care home manager Connor, 27, started volunteering in the care sector when he was 16 and now works with the elderly and people with disabilities.
Marina
Receptionist Marina lives at home with her parents after dropping out of university to follow her dreams of becoming an actor.
Edmund
Edmund comes from one of the country’s oldest aristocratic families but says he can find common ground with anyone.

Jeff
Jeff, 69, is an East End boy at heart. He began working at Sotheby’s in the 1970s before setting up his art dealership, and is best known for his role on Channel 4’s Four Rooms. Today, he oversees and runs eight businesses.
