NBCUniversal Ups Sezin Cavusoglu To SVP Unscripted Current Production

EXCLUSIVE: Sezin Cavusoglu is expanding her role at NBCUniversal with a promotion to Senior Vice President, Unscripted Current Production, from her previous VP position. Cavusoglu reports to Noah Samton, Senior Vice President, Unscripted Current Production, NBCUniversal Entertainment. 

In her new role, Cavusoglu oversees creative production on select documentary and lifestyle unscripted programming across NBCUniversal’s entertainment portfolio, which includes NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen True Crime, Syfy, Universal Kids, USA Network and Peacock.

“Sezin has played an integral part in helping to shape and define countless hours of hit content for NBCUniversal,” said Rachel Smith, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content and Development, NBCUniversal Entertainment. “Her newly expanded role is well-deserved, and we look forward to seeing what stories she will continue to tell across the portfolio.” 

With NBCUniversal since 2015, Cavusoglu most recently served as the executive in charge of production for the reboot of The Real Housewives of New York City and Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. During her tenure, she has spearheaded production across several of NBCUniversal’s biggest hits including The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of Dubai, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Watch What Happens Live, and more.

In 2021, Covusoglu expanded her duties across the company by launching Peacock originals The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, Paris in Love and Queen’s Court.
