This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield was reduced to tears during a segment about the Queen as the ITV show gave their coverage of her death.

In a special memorial programme, shown without adverts as a mark of respect, Phillip and Holly hosted a number of guests who discussed her passing.

The presenters then cut to a clip of King Charles III as he addressed his mother in a short speech.

He thanked his "mama" and hoped that she would be joining his "papa," Prince Phillip who died in 2021, before noting that she will be guided while she makes her final journey.

Her body is travelling up to Scotland before she reaches her final resting place.

The clip then cut back to the studio and showed Schofield with tears in his eyes as he tried to compose himself and continue the show.

The ITV star admitted he had tried to give himself a pep talk over the weekend and wanted to remain "stoic" for the sake of the show but couldn't help his watery eyes.
