Selling the OC (Season Two): Official Trailer
Much has been made about a potential romance that brewed between Netflix’s Selling the OC co-stars Tyler Stanaland and Alex Hall.
However, now that she appears to be dating someone new, there is a renewed focus on whether or not Tyler is actually with Polly Brindle.
Tyler’s romantic life has been a big part of the show, especially the show’s first season coincided with his divorce from Pitch Perfect actress Brittany Snow.
The former couple, who wed in March 2020, announced they were splitting up one month after Selling the OC, a Selling Sunset spinoff, premiered on Netflix.
Notably, episodes from the show’s first season saw him exhibit flirty behaviour with co-stars, including Hall, as well as address off-screen moments where Kayla Cardona allegedly tried to kiss him.
The drama caused Cardona to speak to Us Weekly in September 2022 and state that Snow should be more worried about Hall.

“[Alex and Tyler’s friendship is] very inappropriate. I mean, very hypocritical…[because] I think it’s pretty obvious I never even touched the guy. You know I mean?” she said at the time.
“Let alone sit on his lap, suck on his nose or get naked,” she added.
Hall faced criticism in the season for giving Stanaland a “nosey”-by putting her mouth on his nose and blowing until the air came out of his mouth-while Brindle also faced critiques for a skinny-dipping dare.
Drama spilled over in season two, which dropped on Netflix Sept. 8.

In the new episodes, Tyler and Alex made out in a hot tub, while he and Polly also had a makeout session in the office, which led Polly to share that a video of the encounter was wildly exaggerated.
“I have seen the video…That was an intimate moment between me and a friend….Honestly, lies [were] told about what happens in that video. Me and a friend shared a drunken kiss. That was it. Nothing else. There was no hands down pants [or anything else],” she told Us Weekly.
“People in the office like to embellish to a point that is wildly untrue,” she added. “And yes, I have seen the video, and it does not show anything that they said.”
Though neither she nor Tyler have shared if they are a couple, Polly did further open up on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, indicating that because Tyler had seemingly moved on with Hall, nothing came of their drunken kiss.
“It was just like, ‘Oh, that happened.’ And nothing changed in our friendship. It was never an indication that something was going to happen like it was a drunken snog,” she said.
She also said she wasn’t surprised that Tyler and Snow had divorced.
“The revelations that came out in season 1, I don’t think that helped the situation,” she said. “…I mean, it wasn’t a surprise to his close friends. Maybe it was a surprise to other people in the office who aren’t as close with him. He is a very private person. And I, you know, respect that fully. So I wasn’t surprised, no.”
