Stephen caught out by shock murder evidence in Corrie spoilers

Coronation Street's resident killer Stephen Reid is caught out by some shocking new murder evidence, the latest spoilers have revealed.

Viewers have watched as Stephen murdered Leo Thompkins, Teddy Thompkins, and most recently, Rufus Donahue.

Up to now, he has managed to get away with it, however Rufus' wife is determined that there is more to her husband's death than meets the eye.

This week Rufus' inquest was held, and the coroner said that Rufus died by misadventure.

As Rufus' death has been brought up more, Stephen has been left worried that his secrets will be exposed.

During Friday's episode, 11 August, Rufus' nearest and dearest gather at a memorial to remember him.

Stephen is invited to join, but when Rufus' son Jools asks how he knew his dad, Stephen rushes out.

He returns with the factory staff and explains to his boss Carla Connor, that he thought it would make Rufus look more popular.

It isn't long before he rushes out again as Jools makes an emotional speech about his dad, it is all too much for Stephen.

Looking to avoid what is happening, Stephen heads off to the toilets, watched by Carla and Rufus' wife, Lou.

When he returns for a second time, he is horrified as Lou shows him a bag of Rufus' things that were left by the side of the pool where Rufus' was murdered.

Inside the bag of items is one of Stephen's tie pins that must have fallen off as Stephen killed Rufus.

Lou then tells Stephen that she is going to show the tie pin to the police as she knows that it doesn't belong to Rufus.

Things get worse for Stephen as Lou mentions Rufus' missing watch and Peter Barlow admits that he found it in the back of a cab and pawned it to help pay for Carla's rehab. Will all of this information make Stephen crack?

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Gemma Winter-Brown is feeling bad about the Rovers going up for sale as she knows she could stop it if her husband Chesney would let her work with Henry Newton.
