Amy Dowden on how cancer impacts her plans for children
Strictly Come Dancing fans were delighted as Amy Dowden returned to the BBC show for a special appearance.
The professional dancer, who is currently battling breast cancer, was seen alongside the contestants and Claudia Winkleman during Saturday’s show.
Wearing a hot pink jumpsuit and a long blonde and brown wig, viewers were thrilled to see her continue to be a part of the show.
This year, Amy is not competing following her treatment, which she recently revealed she is now over halfway through.
It wasn’t long before viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts about seeing Amy back on their screens.

Currently in the competition, Casualty star Nigel Harman remains the favourite to win the competition, with his odds currently standing at 9/4 according to Betway.
However, close behind is soap star Bobby Brazier whose odds stand at 5/2 for taising the Glitterball.
Betway spokesman Chad Yeomans commented: “Before the launch episode, punters thought Bobby Brazier would be the contestant to beat in this year’s Strictly and he was the firm favourite for the Glitter Ball trophy.
“However, after some dazzling performances from Nigel in the opening weeks, he’s jumped into the favourite spot and has remained there ever since.”
“Our latest figures suggest that Bobby is getting close to regaining his original position as the favourite.
“He potentially needs just one strong performance to knock Nigel off the top spot in the market.”
Will Bobby’s performance this weekend put him back as the bookies favourite to win the show?
