This Morning branded ‘joke’ as ITV star jets to Austria to promote competition

This Morning has been branded a "joke" by furious ITV viewers.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were back on our screens on Wednesday (November 30) to present the latest edition of the ITV show.

The dynamic duo chatted to Gok Wan who was presenting the show's latest competition giveaway live from Austria.

As fashion guru Gok told viewers how they could win a jaw-dropping £50,000, some took to social media as they noticed the same thing.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "You're all f*cking skint, but we'll send Gok off on a jolly to show you what being able to afford a break looks like. Well played ITV, well played."

Another added: "So you reuse Christmas decorations then send Gok to Austria for that?"

A third person said: "'Sending Gok to Austria to flog the competition, absolute joke."

While a fourth social media user wrote: "@thismorning watching the old carbon footprint again eh @itvstudios Gok is on a mountain to talk about giving money and material sh*t out once you’ve made millions from the phone calls."

"Seeing Gok in all that snow, living his best winter life is not making me jealous at all," a fifth persons typed.

It comes after viewers accused Phillip and Holly of trying to justify This Morning's extravagant Christmas decorations.

They kicked off Tuesday's (November 29) programme by showing off the studio's Christmas makeover.

Complete with 22 huge Christmas trees, the home of This Morning has been transformed into a lavish winter wonderland.

As Holly and Phillip revealed a majority of the decorations have been up-cycled and recycled from previous years, viewers at home couldn't help but share their opinion online.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Trying to justify the sheer extravagance of it all."

Another moaned: "And here's me thinking that Christmas is in December."

A third person posted: "Still November #ThisMorning."

While a fourth social media wrote: "#ThisMorning 'We are in a cost of living crisis.' Also This Morning 'Here's our 22 Christmas trees!'"

This Morning airs on ITV at 10am
