Towie star opens up about nose job after three terrifying attacks and 'horrific' trolling since show debut | The Sun

THE Only Way Is Essex star Junaid Ahmed has opened up about his nose job after three terrifying attacks since his show debut.

The reality TV star recently jetted off to Turkey to have surgery done on his nose – showing off the incredible results online.

Junaid, 27, who rose to fame on the ITV Be show earlier this year, was seen in the social media video showing off his new nose.

He showed off the impressive results of his rhinoplasty for the first time last week, in a clinic video where he was seen in hospital.

Now, the media personality has opened up on the reasons behind the surgery, saying it was due to three attacks by bullies.

He told Johnny Seifert on the Secure The Insecure podcast that it wasn't "down to vanity reasons" but because it "needed to be fixed".

"I did not have my nose job due to vanity reasons or anything like that," Junaid said. "Don't get me wrong, the trolling since I've appeared on Towie has been horrific.

"The first thing people have jumped to is my nose, which is fair enough. But my nose needed to be fixed.

"When I was younger, I was so horrifically bullied in school. I was attacked on a few occasions, and the bullies broke my nose in three different places.

"This wasn't something I just thought out, because I've had a lot of comments like, 'Oh, he's just come on reality TV, and he's getting his nose'. Far from the point.

"This is years of torment that I had to go through, and I've had breathing issues since the age of 16, when my nose was broken by the bullies."

Junaid recalled of the horrific attacks: "When I was in school, my school would let have to let me leave school earlier than others so I could get home safe because they were worried about my safety.

"On three occasions walking home from school, I was attacked by a group of boys in my school and they broke my nose on three occasions that I've never ever spoken about this publicly before.

"But now it's about time now I've got a platform. People need to know. I would not wish that upon my worst enemy.

"I'd go home to some of the guards. I'd have black eyes. My nose would bleed in the middle. I would lie and say I fell over."

It comes after Junaid was seen in the social media video showing off his new nose after going under the knife in Turkey.

He smiled as he talked through the procedure with the surgeon, who drew lines on his face and took him to the operating theatre.

The video then showed off a close-up of Junaid's nose before and after, revealing a slightly more petite and upturned look.

The Towie star could be seen lying flat on the operating table as photographs of his nose were revealed up close.

It comes after Junaid opened up about spending over £10,000 on surgery before the show – but wanting to opt for a natural look.
