Vanessa Feltz has announced her new TV show just months after she quit her BBC Radio 2 programmes after 20 years.

The beloved TV and radio presenter, 60, has been waking the nation up for more than two decades via both her radio shows as well as through her involvement on ITV's This Morning.

Now, for the first time in years, the star will enjoy a well-deserved lie in as she prepares to take over the Drivetime show from talk show host Jeremy Kyle.

She has previously appeared on TalkTV as a regular on The Talk since the channel first launched back in April and will now proudly host the drivetime slot from 4pm-7pm Monday to Friday.

Her first show will launch on Monday September 5 where she will focus on topics that matter to people at home as well as leading fiery panel debated and delivering exclusive interview with major celebrities.

Following her announcement, the blonde beauty confessed that she was looing forward to a wild debate on the show.

She said: "The allure of a retirement reclining on a chaise longue while the fragrant Ben peeled me a grape was fleeting.

"While there are politicians to be tackled, fat cats to be flattened, scams to expose and lovely listeners to champion, it's my mission to breathe fire into the microphone.

"After an elegant sojourn at the BBC I am effervescent with joy at the invitation to unleash my hitherto hidden side on TalkTV."

She continued: "I will relish full-throttled debate and the chance to have a personal passionate point of view at last. Even better, I'll be at the reins of Drivetime. Lord what a luxury!

"After years of 3.30am starts I'll have a show without an alarm clock involved. If I terrified Mayor Sadiq Khan so acutely he never dared set foot in my studio on almost no sleep, tine in to see what I can achieve on a full eight hours shut-eye."
