‘Entitled’ neighbour drove through next door’s garden to park his Porsche – but their revenge ended up ruining his car

  • A Reddit user shared how the nightmare neighbour would drive through his lawn
  • He even found the man tearing down their bushes to make way for his vehicle
  • The man eventually got his comeuppance and ended up ruining his own car

A social media user has been praised for getting revenge on his ‘entitled’ neighbour who would drive through his garden to park his cars.

The neighbour, Richard, used to park his Porsche in the backyard and drove beyond the separation line of the two houses in order to do so.

But his next-door neighbour, fed up with his inconsiderate behaviour, took action to prevent it from happening.

Recounting the tale to Reddit, the user @LnGass said: ‘Until recently, my parents lived in the same house for 50 years. We had three neighbours on the north side over that time.’

A nightmare neighbour was guilty of driving his Porsche over his neighbours lawn, but what they did next infuriated him

He added: ‘The first was a little old woman called Elenore. She was a hermit and as such us young kids were always scared of her. She died when I was a freshman in high school. It took a few years and then we had a new guy buy the property, Richard.’

The man explained that one day he returned home to find Richard cutting down the bushes on his property, he explained the greenery was one foot into their property and it shocked him as their previous neighbour Elenore never had a problem with it.

He continued: ‘My dad and I confronted him, and let him know those were our bushes he was cutting down and we were not happy about it.’

But, he said, Richard didn’t care and told them ‘needed’ to do it so he could get his cars into his backyard.

‘[My dad told him] ‘You have a curb cut out on the other side of your house, you can mow it and have a straight access to the backyard as the original builder intended,’ the Reddit user said.

But when presented with the logical solution he apparently ‘stormed off’ and the next day the bush had disappeared.

With the bushes gone, Richard began to drive his cars through their property and into the backyard for the night.

The neighbours confronted Richard about his behaviour and were met with complete disregard, so they took matters into their own hands (file image)

But the neighbours, fed up with Richard’s behaviour, decided to install a metal fence to properly mark the property line, and prevent Richard from ruining their lawn.

The Redditter said: ‘[My] dad and I decided that we needed metal fence posts to mark the property line. We put them 5 inches on our side of the property line. Drove them down really deep. There was very little room for him to get anything past them, especially his cars.’

When Richard returned home and saw the renovation, the pair could hear him cursing and yelling for quite a few hours.

He added: ‘Then we heard a car start up in the back and he successfully got one of his cars out but not without serious damage to the side, nice sized scrapes all along the side of the car.’

But Richard’s abrupt response not only damaged his car, it skewed his neighbour’s newly installed fence which ended up leaning toward their property.

Adding salt to the wound, they called the police and informed them and much to Richard’s chagrin, he was given a ticket for damaging their property.

Users flooded the comments with praise for the courageous neighbours, most agreeing that Richard’s behaviour was out of order.

One wrote: ‘I wish you had sued over the bushes the tree law crowd is always fun although I wonder if bushes would fall under that.’

Another added: ‘I have never met a Richard that wasn’t a complete tool, deep down. Some of them can hide it, but it’s THERE.’
