A MAN has died after being hit by a lorry in a horror crash in London.

The pedestrian was walking along Goodmayes Road, Ilford, just before 4.30pm on Monday when the incident took place.

Police, London Ambulance and London’s Air Ambulance raced to the scene where they discovered a 45-year-old man.

He was rushed to hospital where he tragically later died.

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.

Road closures remain in place as the Metropolitan Police investigate the tragedy.
