Britney Spears’ manager admits she may never perform again amid fears for her mental health

HER troubles have been well documented and now Britney Spears’ long-time manager has admitted she may never perform in public again.

Speaking for the first time about Britney’s wellbeing, Larry Rudolph admitted he was concerned for the star, who this week claimed her dad had forced her into a mental health unit in March.

Larry said: “I don’t want her to work again until she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately.

“If that time never comes again it will never come again.

“I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work.

“As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — it’s clear she should not be doing this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”

Britney was two thirds of the way through rehearsals for the show, which was to be held at Park MGM in Sin City, before she pulled the plug.

At the time, it was attributed to her dad Jamie being seriously ill.

The singer later checked into a mental health facility for 30 days after she stopped taking her medication.

However this week Britney told a court that Jamie had forced her into the unit and tried to make her take tablets against her will.

As part of Britney’s conservatorship, which was granted in 2008, Jamie has full control over her affairs.

But the ruling does not give him power to put Britney in a facility or medicate her without consent.

Her mum Lynne is now attempting to amend the conservatorship so she can take back some control for Britney, who was one of America’s top pop talents.

I just hope the star can finally get the help she needs.

Kendall's long haul

KENDALL Jenner has teamed up with luxury leather goods brand Longchamp to launch its debut monogrammed collection.

The supermodel smouldered as she modelled the designer brand’s new range of coats, which she wore with a pair of leather hot pants and matching bag.

Kendall was signed up as an ambassador last year as Longchamp tried to break into the younger fashion market.

She said of working with the brand: “I always gravitated to it for its cool, classic and worldly allure.

That’s where it makes so much sense – you can rock Longchamp anywhere.”

If anyone can make it cool, it’s Kendall.

POPPY Delevigne has teamed up with Alexa Chung on a T-shirt collection to help raise cash for Save The Children.

The pair designed the £25 logo tees together, with at least 30 per cent of the cost going to charity.

Catch up with the Clooneys

GEORGE Clooney and his wife Amal look far too calm and composed for a couple with one-year-old twins on their hands.

If anything, the parents of Alexander and Ella looked fresher than ever at the London premiere of his TV mini-series Catch-22 – with Amal dazzling in a mermaid-style dress.

George directs and stars in the dark comedy about a US Army Air Force bombardier during World War II.

See the adaptation of Joseph Heller’s 1961 novel, which also stars Hugh Laurie, on Hulu tomorrow.

I reckon it’ll be well worth catching.

Selena not so social

AFTER spending months playing a social media-obsessed teen for new film The Dead Don’t Die, Selena Gomez has warned her fans off using the platforms.

During a talk at the Cannes Film Festival, Selena said: “For my generation specifically, social media has been terrible.

"I understand that it’s amazing to use as a platform but it does scare me when you see how exposed these young girls and boys are. I think it’s dangerous for sure.”

Selena admitted she cut down on sharing online while she filmed the zombie flick. She added: “I don’t do a lot of pointless pictures. For me, I like to be intentional with it.

“I see these young girls, I’ll meet them, and they’re just devastated by bullying and not having a voice. I would be careful and allow yourself some time limits over when you should use it.”

Wise words indeed.

Taylor: 'I sleep-eat'

TAYLOR Swift has confessed she raids the fridge for food – while fast asleep.

On The Ellen Show, the pop superstar admitted: “I go downstairs and rummage through the kitchen and eat what I can find.

“It’s really less human being and more like a raccoon in a dumpster.

“The next morning I walk downstairs and think, ‘What happened here?’ It’s not really voluntary.”

Prompted by baffled host Ellen Degeneres, Taylor added: “I don’t really remember it, but I know it happens because it could only have been me, or cats.”

Her boyfriend, Brit actor Joe Alwyn might have to start padlocking the fridge.

Solo Serge appy with tune

KASABIAN guitarist Serge Pizzorno has released his first solo song Favourites, with rapper Little Simz.

And it seems Serge has got love on the brain, as he revealed the song was inspired by the world of dating apps.

Serge said: “Favourites is about identity in the digital age. I was interested in how online dating is a sort of snapshot of this identity crisis.

“I wanted to capture the feeling of the real you inside your head trying to get out and escape during a first date.

"It’s a dialogue between two people who are coming to terms with their true selves through their digital interaction becoming a physical one.”

Serge was “blown away” by Little Simz’s talents and said his debut album The S.L.P, out later this year, will feature more urban artists.

He added: “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do – make music with hip-hop or grime artists.”

This track is a banger so I can’t wait to hear the rest.

Liam's after a wonderbrawl

THERE has been an Oasis of calm between the Gallagher brothers recently.

But now Liam has risked reigniting his feud with brother Noel by accusing him of splitting up the band.

The rocker ripped into his sibling as he recalled their 2009 disbandment in upcoming documentary As It Was.

He says: “The geezer split my band up, no wonder we f****** hate each other. No band, no songs – what am I gonna do without Noel? He’d quite happily see me in the gutter.”

After being shown a snap of Noel and his wife Sara MacDonald, he fumes: “F****** Prince Philip and f****** whatever she’s called!”

Hopefully he has mellowed since Manchester City won the league on Sunday. Though he won’t be happy that Noel celebrated with the team in the dressing room.
