ONE of the best bits about going on holiday is relaxing in the swimming pool.

But when you get out your hair can be dry, brittle and frizzy – and it can last for days.

That's why Maddy Milard, a professional hairstylist, shared a clever trick to keep your hair looking healthy and glossy for your entire holiday.

According to the pro, if you get into the pool when your hair is still dry it will absorb the water with all the chlorine in it – which is what makes your locks feel so grim.

But, if you get your hair wet with normal water first, it won't absorb as much of the chlorine water.

Maddy even suggested taking it a step further by applying conditioner to the ends of wet before taking a dip.

You can then swim as normal and wash your hair with shampoo once you get out.

The hair pro recommended using a detoxifying shampoo, but the as long as you wet your tresses you should notice a difference.

Other fans loved the simple trick and couldn't wait to try it out.

One said: "I use coconut oil, it's better in my opinion."

Not everyone was convinced getting into the pool with conditioner in your hair was such a great idea though.
