I’m mum-shamed for letting my baby daughter get her ears pierced – I don't care, she only cried for a few seconds | The Sun

A WOMAN has told how she was mum-shamed for taking her baby daughter to get her ears pierced.

Alyssa Doherty took to TikTok and posted a video of her baby daughter getting her ears pierced as she can be seen quietly sucking on her dummy.

Moments later as the gun pierces through the little girl's skin, she bursts into tears and her face appears to go red.

In the clip, Alyssa explains: "Back to when my daughter got her ears pierced.

"She cried for a few seconds.

Alyssa captioned the post: "I got mum shamed for this LOL."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Torture. Way too young!"

Another argued: "This should be the kids decision not the parents."

And a further advised: "Needle instead of gun piercing would've been better.

"I highly recommend that way if you have more kiddos with piercings."

Elsewhere, others defended Alyssa and told how they're grateful they were taken to get their ears pierced at a young age.

A second commented: "I got mine done when i was a baby and I’m grateful lmao."

In response to the negative comments, Alyssa hit back: "Okay Karen, she’s fine! You have your opinion I have mines.
