THE QUEEN's coffin arrived at Buckingham Palace on the night of Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from Edinburgh, Scotland.
On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, it will make its way through a procession to Westminster Hall where the Queen will lay in state before her funeral on Monday, September 19.
What is the route of the Queen's coffin procession?
The Queen's coffin procession will take 38 minutes.
The procession is set to take the following route:
- Leave from Buckingham Palace
- The Mall
- Horse Guards Road
- Horse Guards Parade
- Whitehall
- Parliament Square
- Ends at the Palace of Westminster
Viewing areas will be set up along the route so that the public can also pay its respect to Her Majesty.

It is recommended that people enter from the north side of Hyde Park, from Marlborough Gate to Marble Arch.
It's recommended that the public thinks ahead of travelling.
Guidance said: "Please be aware that large crowds are expected, and there are likely to be delays on public transport and road closures around the area."
Security will be at all sites and no alcohol consumption will be allowed.
On the other hand, the public can consumer food and drink, which can also be brought from concession stands on sites.
Public toilets will also be placed around the areas.
