Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was left horrified in Coronation Street as her baby secret was exposed to her family.

After learning that husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) had called the Barlows and Platts to the Rovers for an important announcement, she freaked out, revealing that she didn’t want anyone to know yet.

When Adam said that he would cancel the drinks, Sarah said that would make things more suspicious, and set about trying to come up with something to solve the issue.

After leaving the families waiting in suspense, Adam and Sarah arrived at the pub, only for Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) to instantly guess that Sarah was pregnant.

Determined to keep her secret under wraps, Sarah denied the suggestion, while Adam revealed that he had won a big trial, which was the reason for the family gathering.

With Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) already unconvinced, claiming that she could smell the pregnancy hormones, the illusion was well and truly shattered when Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) entered and revealed the truth.

When Sarah pointed out that she didn’t think it was the right time to tell everyone, considering the problems she and Adam have been having, Ken Barlow (William Roache) put his foot in it by asking if Adam was definitely the father.

Viewers will know that Sarah had been having an affair with Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) behind Adam’s back, which was soon exposed, leaving their marriage in turmoil.

After insisting that it was, Sarah stormed out of the pub.

Back at the flat, Adam was able to calm her down, by assuring her that she was going to be a great mum, despite all of the drama surrounding the pregnancy.

The couple soon headed back to the pub, where they showed their families that they were a united front.
